While the CSR draws on expertise of researchers from the Faculty of Social Science, members from other disciplines of the University of Malawi and beyond are invited and encouraged to partner CSR Researchers based on their areas of research interest.

Through the Research Affiliate Programme, visiting researchers including international postgraduate students interested in conducting research in Malawi are helped to meet requirements for permission to conduct research in Malawi as well as easy assimilation to the socio-cultural environment. Where need be, the Centre appoints a mentor among its staff or from the Faculty of Social Science.
