Miss Dadirai Mkombe
Research Fellow

Dadirai is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Social Research of the University of Malawi (CSR) where she also coordinates the in house Seminars. She is also a 2018 International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) Research Fellow under the “Enhancing Capacity to Apply Research Evidence (CARE) for youth engagement in agribusiness and rural economic activities in Africa”, sponsored by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). She has a Master of Arts degree in Economics and a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree from the University of Malawi. 

She has attended various trainings including the 2021 CODATA RDA Research Data Science Summer School on Open Science and Responsible Conduct of Research, Introduction to Unix Shell, Programming for Analysis, Git, Research Data Management, Author Carpentry, Data Visualisation, Information Security, Machine Learning and Computational Infrastructures. Other trainings she has attended include: Computation of the Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) for Malawi, University of Oxford and UNDP Malawi (2020), Research and Grants Managements, SARIMA, Online (2020), Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and learning (MEAL) training, CSR (2019), ODK for mobile data collection/ programming, MEASURE Evaluation (2018), Policy Briefing and Scientific Writing, IITA Nigeria (2018), Research Methodology and Data Analysis, IITA Nigeria (2018) and the Advanced Excel Training, Airtel Malawi/TECHNO BRAIN (2015).
