The Centre for Social Research (CSR), in collaboration with the University of Malawi's Department of Research and Innovation, organized a three-day Grant Writing Workshop aimed at strengthening researchers' capacity to develop competitive funding proposals and improve access to national and international research grants.

The workshop brought together experienced facilitators from the University of Malawi and Stellenbosch University, including Professor Levison Chiwaula, Professor Alister Munthali, Dr Juliet Nyasulu, Dr Yamikani Ndasauka, Dr Evance Mwathunga, Dr Asante Mtenje, Dr Gowokani Chijere-Chirwa, and Dr Dorothy Tembo just to mention a few.

In addition, the training offered practical grant-writing skills, networking opportunities and increased confidence to compete for research funding.

The workshop reinforced CSR’s commitment to building research excellence and enhancing the University's ability to attract external funding through high-quality proposals.
