The Centre for Social Research (CSR), with support from the National Commission for Science and Technology (NCST), is running various initiatives to contribute to strengthening the capacity of individuals to conduct and promote research and innovation in Malawi. One of the key objectives is to enhance research capacity of academic staff, postgraduate students, and professionals through a series of trainings in research, data analysis, and the production of research outputs. The CSR is therefore inviting UNIMA academic staff and postgraduate students to a 5-daytraining.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES:
- Understanding of the basic principles underlying qualitative data analysis and how it differs from quantitative data analysis.
- Practical skills to create a coding framework and NVivo projects.
- Practical skills to create and manage nodes for coding data as well as applying coding techniques to data within NVivo.
- Practical skills to analyse, present, and interpret data with approppriate evidence based NVivo
- Trainees will also have the opportunity to network with seasoned researchers, peers, and professionals

This is an introductory level training. Prior knowledge and experience of using NVivo is not required
