On 6th December, 2021, Dr. Lazarus Chakwera, President of the Republic of Malawi appointed the outgoing Director of CSR, Prof. Blessings Darlo Chinsinga to join his cabinet as Minister of Local Government. Prof Chinsinga served as Director of the Centre from 2016 to 2021 after 4 years as its Deputy Director. He has published widely on governance, democracy, decentralisation and agricultural input subsidies.
Prof. Chinsinga was sworn in as Minister on December 11 2021. The CSR family wishes Prof Chinsinga the best of success on his journey of service to the Malawi nation. Once CSR, always CSR.
