Dr. Tsoka retires from CSR


Dr Maxton Tsoka has retired from the University of Malawi and Center for Social Research upon reaching the retirement age. Dr Tsoka joined Center for Social Research in 1995 as a young and enthusiastic researcher, who, with time rose to Associate Professor. 

He has led many research projects at CSR and has been key in many influential policy driven research in his area of expertise. He started leading project teams way back and one of his projects in which he was the princiap investigator (PI) is Rapid Assessments On Child Domestic Labour In Selected Districts In Malawi  conducted in 2005.

His main thematic area of study is poverty, on which he has published many articles.  

Speaking at a farewell function organised by CSR, Dr Tsoka advised CSR staff to always remember that to be where you are, it is somebody who uplifted you. Meanwhile the Director of CSR Prof Chinsinga thanked him for his selfless service to the Center and UNIMA at large.
