The Centre for Social Research (CSR), with support from the National Commission for Science and Technology (NCST), is running various initiatives to contribute to strengthening the capacity of individuals to conduct and promote research and innovation in Malawi. One of the key objectives is to enhance research capacity of academic staff, postgraduate students, and professionals through a series of trainings in research, data analysis, and the production of research outputs.
The CSR is therefore inviting UNIMA academic staff and postgraduate students to a 5-day training workshop in quantitative data management and analysis using SPSS/Stata to be conducted as follows:

VENUE: CSR BOARDROOM
STARTING TIME: 9 AM
KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES:
- Basic knowledge of quantitative data management and analysis using SPSS and/or Stata
- Understanding of basic statistical methods and ability to carry out and interpret analyses
- Skills to identify appropriate statistical methods for hypothesis testing
- Trainees will also have the opportunity to network withseasoned researchers, peers, and professionals
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- UNIMA academic staff
- UNIMA postgraduate students
- This is an introductory level training.
- Prior knowledge and experience of using SPSS and Stata is not required
