This week the Centre for Social Research continues with its capacity building efforts for staff and postgraduate students by inculcating in them research and data analysis skills. This week CSR has brought together 35 members of staff and students who are learning qualitative research methods and qualitative data analysis. This week's training is part of a series of many trainings that CSR will conduct this year with financial support from the National Commission for Science and Technology who provided a grant to CSR to build the capacity of students and university lecturers in research. Another group of 35 staff and students underwent a similar training in quantitative methods last week
CSR Director Joseph Chunga said during the opening session that the research capacity building training is part of CSRs contribution to the academy by ensuring that staff and students produce robust research outputs. Stay tuned for more announcements about the next round of trainings.
