A CSR researcher Mr. Witness Alfonso attended a Gender Transformation for Africa cohort writing workshop hosted by the University of West Cape's School of Public Health in Cape Town. Researchers across Africa shared progress on IDCR-funded projects using Gender Transformation Approaches and reviewing their papers for publication. 

Mr Witness Alfonso chaired a session on writing effective introductions and is co-authoring a paper with colleagues from the African Population and Health Research Center and CSR on empowering community health workers in Malawi to deliver responsive life skills training for adolescent mothers to overcome systemic inequalities and social exclusion.
