Energy justice in Malawi: Women’s lived experiences of insecure energy access in low-income households in Blantyre’s urban periphery.
This research study is focusing on the understanding of the experiences and perceptions from the women living insecure energy access taking a participant-centered approach. At the bottom level will seek to unearth such lived experiences. By exploring the role TA play a ground level the research will take a bottom –up approach to understanding how energy justice manifest from the community level to Malawi’s national energy policy. Feminist research challenges traditional power structure focusing on the marginalized genders, often seeking social justice and transformation. Empowering the participants’ voices are not only heard but also empowered throughout research process.
