The Centre for Social Research will hold its 2021 Annual Retreat at the Nkopola Holiday Resort in Mangochi under the theme: ‘Towards a fresh research agenda for the new UNIMA’. This is expected to be a highly refreshing and energising retreat which will see all senior and support staff sharing their past and present experiences and work together towards shaping the new research agenda in the newly established University of Malawi. A team building exercise to be facilitated by the Dean of the Faculty of Social Science is expected to re-energise staff at all levels as we get into 2022.

Apart from CSR staff, the retreat will also be attended by all senior University Management including the Acting University Vice Chancellor, the Acting University Registrar, the University Finance Officer, Procurement Officer, the Dean of Research, and the Dean of the Faculty of Social Science. Also in attendance will be all Directors of Research Centres of the University of Malawi namely the Centre for Educational Research and Training (CERT), Centre for Language Studies (CLS) and the Natural Resources and Environment Centre (NAREC).
